Rainbow cupcakes
I had this while in Portland. It was hands down, my favorite Soda I’ve ever had.
Just like I expected, Seattle was a wonderful city. The sun shone on our arrival and was intermittent most of my days there. It really did not matter. I loved every bit of the city I discovered. The people were friendly and not affected. Very enjoyable. I did go to the original Starbucks, but also really enjoyed my mocha latte at La Paniere just down the walk from there.
The Art Museum, SAM, had a free Friday and was conveniently located accross from my second hotel. Yet another exciting and interesting suprise. It also allowed me to meander from 3rd street to 2nd street without as MUCH strain on my poor calf muscles. Good grief you’d have to be or develop a hearty stamina to live downtown. I volunteer!
I spent two really fun and enriching days with my co-workers. Thanks to all involved. We did truly need those let our hair down days. I know you worked really hard to get it together and to get us there!
Then another day and a half with my friend and co-worker Maggie and Brian joined us Friday. That Museum of Flight was awesome! Thanks alot, dad, for taking me to see planes take off and land when I was little. To the airplane museums throughout my growing up. That was the grandaddy, watching a 777 or 787 being built.
I hopped on an Alaska Airlines plane. (video out the window) to go see my friends for the weekend, in Portland. More glorious PacNw weather, sun one moment, raindrops the next. Games, catch up, good food and great company!
I loved the tour of Portland, Yarn stores!!!! Architecture. Flora and Fauna and more good company. Did I mention some spectacular food too? Hal made wonderful meatballs! Pat and Heather introduced me to Hot Lips Pizza. mmmmmm. I swear I have had some of the best, ever cheery sodas. Thoma Kemper was my fave of them all.
I am sure I have more to say, but bottom line is, I had a really wonderful, sorely needed, many days away from work, i
I wanted to see the 3 mountains in the far off. I believe, Olympia, Hood and Rainier..but instead I got that most awesome prop. You can hear/not hear how quiet it is!
The neat, outside parts we are allowed to photo at Boeing. The extra super neat inside stuff you may not photo, but it was soooooo neat! I saw them building planes! I want to do that! I want to help somewhere in that process!
